Participants will learn about the function of behavior and simple steps that can be taken to help students solve problems in a safe space that allows them to express their emotions. Get ready to build up your behavior detective skills and feel more confident in promoting prosocial behavior, as well as how to deescalate a situation. Key Audience Takeaways: Participants will learn about the science of behavior and the various behavioral functions that motivate students. Participants will understand how a brain in pain can’t learn and how to promote prosocial behavior. Participants will develop ways to manage their own emotions and prevent secondary behaviors. Participants will learn how to reframe their adjectives and start asking questions instead of making assumptions about student behavior.
